Emotionally intelligent men usually realise early on that the deepest trait they should seek in a woman the extent to which her presence feels like home to the most unguarded parts of their being. And once a man has felt that kind of home in a woman, all the shallow social metrics begin to collapse because he knows now that love is recognition, a rare and sacred relief of finally belonging somewhere.
