His name is Daniel Erving. He was an eighteen-year-old senior at Sachse High School in Texas and a member of their swim team, described by family as “a good kid whose dream was to serve his country in the military.” Daniel left his home on April 13th to go fishing and swimming at Lake Ray Hubbard with nineteen-year-old Lucas Roper and a juvenile. When Erving didn’t return home and all communications failed, a missing person's report was submitted to the Rowlett Police Department. After a four-day search, his body was recovered near the Paddle Point section of the lake. According to court documents, Erving, Roper, and the seventeen-year-old juvenile jumped from a bridge into the water. Investigators allege that Erving drowned shortly after jumping. Rather than calling for help, police say Roper launched an extensive effort to hide the tragedy. Though the official story from his “friends” points to an accident, the scene suggests a cover-up, marked by hidden clothing, erased phone logs, and a discarded mobile device. Lucas Roper and the juvenile suspect were arrested on charges of tampering with physical evidence. Given Erving’s extensive swimming experience, the claim of accidental drowning remains highly questionable. We will continue to support Daniel's family until they receive answers, transparency, and a thorough investigation that follows every lead.
