There is this notion that being aloof/competitive/condescending/jeering is cool. I would rather be infinitely kind and perpetually uncool.

Ok so boom…. My friend’s husband dm’ed me asking me to call him and sent his phone number. Mind you, he’s cool but we don’t know each other like that, outside of her. So I assumed it may have been a mistake and didn’t respond. An hour later, he sends the same message, asking me to call. So I reply back and say “I’m working, is everything ok?” My friend has mild health issues and I was afraid something could be wrong. No reply.…..
