Jack Eichel is a heck of a hockey player. American, too. Our country has given this sport so much. Our country has given the world so much, further. And yet, people sneer. Did we not give you: Nicholas Colasanto. Mark Twain. Craig Janney. George Carlin. The French Kiss. Kelsey Grammer. The Magna Carta. Did we not bestow our brilliance to the rest of the dark, dreary world? Did we not extend a hand, assuming you took it with graciousness and responsibility? Hmm? We don't love politicians in the USA. But we love Americans. And we love an Eichel showing his brilliance - and we don't mock it, we admire it. Thank you.

@dandoo65 Well, this season has certainly sent a message. The best we can hope for is they learned important lessons from it. Only time will tell...fwiw, I do think the scouts have been doing much better the last few years (barring a couple of picks), but the Moose need big help.

@HLLivingLoco And usually ones with an axe to grind, will manipulate the message to their liking, spin-doctoring in a sense..the organization’s strength (loyalty) will also be its achilles heel.. but Winnipeg as a market is an uphill battle, winning doesn’t help as some may think it would..

@dandoo65 I fully understood what he said. It was still an incredibly stupid thing to say *twice*, and terribly inappropriate given how Lucius retired. Chaz medically retiring does not explain why the Jets pipeline has struggled to graduate prospects since ~2019.

I don' t necessarily blame Hellebuyck. As I've written countless times recently, I think the #NHLJets have run him into the ground. He's playing way too much -- especialy with Eric Comrie as a solid backup option. Tonight is 20 of 22 games, most of them high-pressure.

In my first job they started paying me $5.15 or so an hour. By the end of my time there - they were paying me $9.00 large. Every hour. Many cheesesteaks were eaten with the opulence. Many hockey sticks purchased. Let that sink in.
