@HazelAppleyard Holy hell. That woman is awful. There is nothing even remotely maternal about that behavior. "Real mother" my ass.
English

@Steve_A_Reno Oh no! This is on my list, lol. Glad you figured out what went wrong.
English

@BossGalka @BrianAtlas I genuinely thought that was the case as well. These days, you need to say it upfront that you consider dating exclusive particularly if any sex is involved.
English

@BrianAtlas Anyone who uses words like "exclusive" when referring to relationships is fucking trash and cheaters. If you go out on a date with someone, you are dating unless you say "okay, thanks, but I don't want another date" or "let's just be friends". Fuck the "we weren't exclusive" shit
English

@Kasekisai_T Oh, cheesecake is my favorite, this is the one I will try!
English

@tetsublogorg Before peeking at comments, I'm going to guess the curled/more tubular leaves on the right are the chives.
English

@ukboomers @WaterwornPebble Exactly, they should be hitting three industrial engineering or software development shops a day. Or walk down to the local AI data center and just start sweeping up until someone notices!
English

@WaterwornPebble Our grandchildren struggle too. But have they tried printing out their CVs and handing them in? John walked into the post office in 1974 and started the next day. Three degrees between them and not one has thought to just pop into a shop and ask.

@TJKashin @Arkypatriot Oh, and that eagle on the screen doors were everywhere!
English

@Arkypatriot I wasn't spared from this fate as a boy in 1972, just no bonnet or purse......🤣

English

@Arkypatriot I remember from the 70s. White patent leather shoes, pastel dress, white gloves, Easter bonnet. All new and itchy, lol.
English

@learning_yohei Confirming what others are saying. "How are you?" is not a real question. It's a greeting and you say, "Good, and you?" ...and they'll usually say "Good." If they say something other than that it's fine and you can just go with it, but that's not normally expected.
English

@Steve_A_Reno Loving this little thread happening. I have a little old rice cooker in the cabinet!
English

So I made a chocolate cake in my rice maker. Turned out great. Iced with vanilla butter cream frosting and some Hershey chocolate crumbles. Thanks to the Japanese friends who taught me a new use for the rice maker.

Mind blown! This actually works! Thanks Japanese friends for teaching me about pancakes in a rice cooker. I made them pink for the cherry blossoms 🌸🩷

@HazelAppleyard Because you can make up anything and post it as a meme. Hope that helps.
English

@BiancoDavinci I found this highly disturbing until learning the bees had already died! 😅
English

@Bmcar4scopesYT @sammaelsama @Math_files Honestly, for that one they could have just counted up in their head.
English

@sammaelsama @Math_files Nah, you use the answers and back track to see which one works. IE 132 - 44. Then there's no room for error.
English

@sammaelsama @Math_files Yup. That's what I did as a kid. Writing in an answer is wild actually, lol.
English

@Math_files Every reasonable kid would simply mark the number closer to their calculated score and hope for the best.
English

@AdaAdvocates_ @Math_files You don't make numbers behave. That's actually a core value of numbers. They add up or they don't. This answer is a fail and the fact they confidently *wrote in* a wrong answer is problematic, lol.
English

As a mom homeschooling my 9year old with dyscalculia, I don’t see a 'wrong' answer here, I see a brain trying to make sense of a world that wasn't built for it!
Standard tests call this a fail, but in our house, we call it 'creative processing.'🙂 Omo, the struggle to make numbers behave is real!
