I am a proud King David alumnus. No, I will not disavow the belief that the Jewish people have a right to self-determination in their historic homeland. No, I will not disavow the principle that Jewish schoolchildren are entitled to be treated fairly and equally. No, I will not disavow the simple truth that Jewish children deserve safety and security in their own educational environments — just like every other child. Calling on alumni to publicly renounce those principles is not a call for dialogue. It is a demand for submission in the face of prejudiced double standard.
