Orgullo venezolano 🇻🇪✨
La zuliana Daniela Rojas Cañizales, estudiante de la Universidad de Florida, ha sido reconocida con el prestigioso Premio Estudiantil Archie Carr, uno de los galardones más importantes en investigación y conservación de tortugas marinas. El premio fue por el mejor trabajo de conservación del mundo. En esta área, este premio equivale a un Óscar por así decirlo.
Este premio, otorgado desde 1990, destaca el trabajo de jóvenes científicos que contribuyen a la protección de estas especies y sus hábitats a nivel mundial. Venezuela ha tenido el honor de contar con tres galardonados, el Dr. Héctor Barrios - Garrido @hectortuguero , la Dra. Natalie Wildermann @natuula y ahora Daniela Rojas Cañizales @danicrc , todos zulianos y egresados de la Universidad del Zulia (LUZ). El doctor Hector Barrios Garrido además de haber sido tutor de tesis de Daniela, será del comité de doctorado que está cursando en la Universidad de Florida.
Su logro no solo reconoce la excelencia académica, sino también el compromiso con la conservación de la biodiversidad, llevando el talento venezolano más allá de nuestras fronteras.
