I could be in the minority that thinks this, but Strider really can't be part of your long-term core anymore At this point, you have to reconstruct the rotation. Sale isn't getting any younger, and you can't bank on every single one of these young guys to pan out

Our front office was more concerned with increasing shareholder value than signing a starter in the offseason. Deja vu of last year with the injuries. No excuses for not acquiring a starter in the offseason. The biggest disadvantage to the Braves being owned by a publicly traded company is that they want to do just enough to be competitive to sell tickets, but their top priority is the bottom line on the financial statements, not winning a World Series.

@grantmcauley Dansby we had to let walk…. He isn’t worth that salary…. If you kept Freddie you could have kept Langeliers and wouldn’t have had to make the move for Murphy…. So you either keep Contreras or let him split with Langeliers. Hindsight is 20/20 though

Money isn’t the issue when you are close to the top of payroll…. His problems started when he let Freddie walk

It’s fair to be upset that the Braves didn’t add a SP. They should have and why they didn’t is definitely a question that should be asked until an answer is given. It is also acceptable to acknowledge that having 1 more SP right now doesn’t change the fact that losing 4 SP in ST is a huge issue.
