Every time a client requested a change, an editor lost 2 hours. Not because they were slow. Because the workflow was broken. Download the file. Make the cut. Re-export. Re-upload. Wait for feedback. Repeat. I built them a single upload pipeline. Drop the raw clip, it auto-crops for every format, generates 3 voiceover variations, and sends the client a menu of finished options. The editor now spends those 2 hours on work that actually requires a human. That's what I mean when I say I'm replacing the clerical, not the creative.

You need a cash flow business. I own stakes in companies that are worth billions but I can’t pay for a private jet with equity. Net worth is irrelevant for day to day activities. What is your liquid net worth? I don’t care if you have $100M in equity if you have a $200k cheque still bounce. Cash flow biz solves this problem.

Either start a business or learn sales. Or learn sales, then start a business. That's the advice I'd give to my younger self.

Saw multiple “ brands “ today claiming that their stupid supplement is a cure for cancer. I don’t understand how people their morals can fall that low for money. I rather be broke and be a good person than rich and be the scum of earth.

go to the facebook ads library & search for whatever fashion products that are working look for ads that have proved themselves & have more than 100k views in the last 30 days find around 50 products of the same category & import them all to your store regenerate the images with AI & make a store that looks like a real brand approve your google merchant center find an agency to run your ads & let them cook for a bit in the mean time, you're going to search for more products to put on your store that fits the collections you've published stay consistent with the strat & keep adding products/increasing budgets until you hit $10k/day

@ecom_pilot Building your own 3PL is painful upfront but owning that layer changes everything about how fast you can move.

Been a while since we actually fulfilled orders ourselves. Building our own 3PL Really makes you appreciate when you don't have to physically touch any packages But quality goes up 10x Worth it.

When a consumer brand stalls out, everyone blames the ads or the product (It's almost never that). It's usually one of these 8 operational mistakes that quietly cap your company's growth: 1. Operating from low gross margin In consumer, everything is downstream from margin. Lower margin means fewer levers to grow. 2. OPEX above 10% The biggest scale consumer companies I know are all sub-10% operating expenses. Payroll, fixed costs, everything. 3. Upside-down cash cycles If you're pre-paying for product before you sell it, you're automatically at a disadvantage. You need terms from suppliers that are friendly to your cash. 4. Not profitable on order one Running acquisition at break-even or a loss on day one is harder on cash and working capital. 5. No LTV to back up unprofitable acquisition A bunch of D2C brands tried to run acquisition that wasn't profitable day one with no LTV. That's suicide. 6. Not enough focus on product There's too much mid and meh in consumer. Operators should spend more time on product development and thinking about product-customer fit. 7. Playing in small markets It's much easier to be a small fish in a large market than a big fish in a small market. 8. Becoming indispensable instead of building a company that runs without you Growth gets capped when founders stay too involved, hold onto decisions too long, or fail to build an org that outlives them.

@alecsandrull Everyone who made it in ecom has a version of this story. The only difference is they came back one more time than they quit

the average ecom route: -found out 16yos make 500k/mo from ecom on tiktok. -called it a scam - watched Iman talk about it and get rich -bought a curlyhead course for $399.99 -opened a store and failed -called it a scam -gave it another shot with ads and flopped -called it a scam -quit for 3 years - tried every other business model and failed -came back to ecom -made 7-figs -realised it's a game of reps

@trentjhughes Hire or automate as you scale' people do these backwards and hire before they've systemized anything so they just end up managing more people instead of building leverages

Agencies are the lowest cost highest leverage business you can start to hit $1M in revenue No inventory No warehouse No product to build We grew one to $40M a year in 5 years and another to $7M a year in 3 Same playbook both times Pick one lane Pick one customer Price low to get your first 10 clients Raise prices as demand grows Hire or automate as you scale Most people overthink it Pick a lane and go

@roaspete The hard part is building a system around it so you can replicate it without it depending on you every time. 😞😞

18 months ago I was paying editors $3K/month for ads that barely broke even. Then I discovered something embarrassing: The best-performing ad in my entire account cost me nothing. 3 TikTok clips. 30 minutes. No crew. $47K spent → $140K revenue. I’ve now done this 100+ times and built $1.2M in revenue off content I never created.

Hot take: the smartest ecom play of 2026 isn't a new product category. It's finding the market where your existing winner is 3-5 years behind the US in saturation and going there first. Every winning ecom product has a lifecycle. In the US that lifecycle is compressed by competition. In secondary markets it resets. The brands I know that crossed $30M+ in the last 2 years almost all have one thing in common: they went international before their US margins compressed. Geography extends the lifecycle of a winning product. Most operators wait until the US is dead before they look up.

ROAS is a vanity metric. Contribution margin is the only number that tells you if you actually have a business.

its 8am, and this store has already done $103.5k google and YouTube have spent $16.5k for $39k back we’re doing nearly $1,000,000/day with this brand, and google is making up 30-40% of the total revenue on average, that’s the minimum % of total revenue we aim to achieve for clients while most agencies can’t scale your Google accounts past 5-10% of your total revenue 👏
