@akech_andrew Bro you will be shocked if you come across the JEDCO vs government agreement. These guys have secured a sovereign guarantee for 30 years . A period within which South Sudan is not to sign any power agreement with anybody or else they are paid in full for the remaining years

The news about President asking JEDCO to cut down their tariff on power units may sound exciting but it shouldn't because we all know why Ezra group is now trying to massage the President because their contract is coming to an end and would like to be given an extension. However, that's not my main concern. I'm so much concerned with how everything is left for the President to decide in a country where 35 ministeries and 22 undersecretaries with their full powers are never talked about. We have a full ministry in charge of power but has never come out to summon JEDCO besides the cries from almost every citizen. A minister is appointed into the office he/she walks in and sits until the decree is read out on SSBC and chapter is closed, the next person does the same. President Salva Kiir's method of leading has really encouraged mediocrity in a lot of ministries, everyone comes in with desire of taking and he/she walks away. Before this next contract is awarded to JEDCO, terms and conditions need to be reviewed or we switch to solar power just like what Djibouti did.
