Seems like 2026 is actually the year. I feel genuinely happy for all the trackmania players, who kept believing (which I didn't) and never gave up on the game. They do deserve such a big tournament.

Last August I watched the showmatch at LAN between Kappa, Kubayz, Toni and Hakki, and I realized that I was missing the old tmnf tech style of maps, so this year I tried to play some. If anyone has any recommendations for cool competition maps from the past, please let me know.

@SRK__LV To add to this.. "perfect" teammate doesn't mean skill-wise. It's more so motivation and expectations that need to align. And honestly, I've never been a good teammate myself -

@SRK__LV To me TrackMania has always been a solo game. I've always been introverted and not having to go through process of finding perfect teammate allowed me to compete at highest level when I was active. From spectator's perspective I love watching finalist mode - easier comebacks

Today was much better. My goal was to win at least 1 match in double elimination bracket and I managed to do just that. Finished the tournament at 11th place. Simply lost to better players. Now I'm just gonna enjoy watching the rest of the tournament.

There's so many PCs on LAN and of course it has to be mine that dies during the most important match of the day on my best map. Unfortunately, I'm not good at setting up game and monitors and it always takes me ages. Feeling quite pissed.
