I do find the "Richie signed them off" argument to recruitment a bit weak when you are relying on the recruitment team and if you are given these 4-6th choices you got to sign someone and as a manager protect and utilise the hand you've been given #lofc

@Orientsphincter @Andywobss I'm not going to say this has has been a good season Clearly it has been atrocious Doesn't mean Wellens should go We had a similar thing with Slade Just avoided relegation, on less points than this season We stuck with him & 2 years later were a whisper away from the championship

@Orientsphincter @Andywobss Definitely been the case for some players that we have looked at for a while, signed them, and they have been poor. But that happens at every club. Also there has definitely been cases where wellens got a 6th choice player, such as Adaramola.

@Andy_PO16 @NTT20Pod It's almost statistically impossible for us to have so few goals from set pieces! Just looking at corners, we must have taken at least 250 and only scored 5 (at a maximum). That's a best case scenario ratio of 1 goal per every 50 corners. Probably closer to 1 per every 70. #lofc

@NTT20Pod I’d be curious to see how the data is compiled. A true reflection would also depend on the number of opportunities vs conversion plus also % vs overall goals scored. (Although I’ve no doubt #lofc would still have a low goals scored !)
