@MichaelOllerton @NCETM @ATMMathematics I agree, Mike! In 2011 (I think) when you showed me ATM, I spent a few weeks reading all previous publications - each of them has such valuable ideas to apply in class!

Just a thought for the @NCETM. How much would it cost to fund every state Primary and every state Secondary school to become members of @ATMMathematics. Just imagine how all schools would benefit enormously by gaining access to every MT. As I said, just a thought.

@Mr_C_Teaches_ @teacherhead @dylanwiliam They can be stated from the beginning of the lesson if we teach/practice a skill or co-constructed in lessons where students explore concepts and deepen understanding.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES… I‘be done my reading (& watching) of @teacherhead & @dylanwiliam but still wondering: If we are looking to use them, written instead of titles, to develop a consistent school-wide approach to develop routine for our learners is there a problem?

@annemathswatson Teachers in Shanghai, more than us (unfortunately), stay more on a project to explore it before deciding is not working. In China, one can see now public IB schools, CGC schools, UK curriculum schools etc - they explore and take the best that fit their students’ population.

@helenjwc @ATMMathematics @journaleditor6 @NCETM It’s too often the scaffolding just in case that leads to unnecessary small steps that take the big picture out of a child’s sight. This, in turn, leads to a lack of agency and independent thinking.
