サッカーワールドカップ出場国で続々と代表メンバーが発表されているけれども、イングランド、フランスなど各国がSNSでクオリティの高いメンバー紹介動画をアップしていて、進化を感じるし、めちゃくちゃ素晴らしい。 🏴イングランド代表はビートルズの「Come Together」のBGMに合わせ、ビートルズのオマージュを感じる映像の中に選手の文字が躍る。ロックファンならたまらない映像でサッカー好き以外にも見て欲しい。 🇫🇷フランス代表は少し古いホームドラマのOPのようなかわいい映像の中に選手本人も登場するフランスらしいオシャレな発表。当該選手にはかなり前から代表入りが告げられていたのでしょうか。 🇳🇴ノルウェー代表は国王が発表し、映像の中のユニフォームだけで代表メンバーを発表する皆まで言わない使用。上品かつ荘厳。 🇨🇿チェコ代表は代表に選ばれた選手たちの子供の頃のプレー映像、そして家族たちが彼らについて語るというエモい内容に。

@rohbo1 This was Times Square in New York City on October 8 - check out the signs. The genocide libel was pre-planned. At this stage, Israel was still chasing Hamas terrorists around the kibbutzim and had not even counted or buried its dead.

Michelle Obama makes a very crucial point that I believe goes further than American politics.
So many people are being taught to avoid dialogue with people who they disagree with. This tactic only creates a stronger and more toxic bubble.
When you demonize someone, you discredit them. There are many things I take issue with when it comes to MAGA, but that isn't enough for me to stop seeing another person as a human being. I apply that logic to anyone who is willing to have a conversation about Israelis and Palestinians.
If we permit ourselves to cut off any dialogue, we will never see progress.

The betrayal Jewish people felt when the anti-racist left turned on us was real, and it was very painful. We all felt it; across the political aisle, across skin tones, across every corner of Jewish life. We are all acutely aware of that rejection, I mean it’s the reason my bio is “liberal estranged from the left.”
What I don’t accept is responding by making “white identity” a core feature of our politic. Not only does history tell us this will inevitably backfire, but plenty, possibly even most, of the people racializing Israel as “ur-white” are white themselves, and I don’t think we should let their old fashioned, divisive racial framework become ours.
It also erases the Jews who don’t like you, do we not matter too? Please remember we are being called all the same slurs you are, I’ve even been told to “go back to Poland.”
Jewishness is an identity unto itself, and we should reject the impulse to mirror the ‘woke mob.’
The fact is, the antiracist left has become a force for division in our world, must we be like them?

@motivatedjoy It's bc the lefty anti-israel people view Israel as the ur-white country. The last colonial bastion, Rhodesia on the Mediterranean. Therefore in response there have been two paths 1)but we aren't white! Zionism is decolonization and 2)So what's wrong with being white?
