Even the parts of the Bible that feel hard to understand are filled with life and purpose. Leviticus may seem easy to skip, but it reveals something powerful. God was always pointing to Jesus. Every sacrifice was preparing the way for the One who would make a way for us. Holiness is not about striving harder. It is about receiving what Jesus has already done. Through Him, a new identity is given. Forgiven, made new, and set apart. Keep going. There is always more of Jesus waiting to be revealed. #jesusisreal #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington #vancouverpdxliving #pastordanielfusco

The consequences of sin are real, but the finished work of Jesus really does change everything. I was so grateful to open Genesis 3:12-19 with our Crossroads family today as we continued in our Epic Fail series. This passage is weighty because it reminds us that while God has given us the gift of choice, sin always carries consequences. We saw how easy it is to fall into the blame game instead of walking in honest repentance (1 John 1:8-10). But right in the middle of humanity’s failure, the hope of the gospel begins to shine. Even here, we see that Jesus is the answer and that His redeeming work changes everything. It was truly such a beautiful day in the life of our family of faith as we celebrated 16 Child Dedications together. I always love these moments because they remind us that we are devotional, relational, and reproducible as we seek to raise the next generation to simply respond to Jesus. We also had our first Second Saturday of the year, where over 100 people stepped out to serve the community in practical ways through LoveNOW, living on mission together and sharing the love of Jesus in tangible ways. As we head toward Easter, next week we begin One Invite Can Change a Life. Take time this week to pray and ask Jesus who He may be putting on your heart to invite. I believe God wants to transform our community and our world as we simply respond to Him together. #jesusisreal #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington #vancouverpdxliving #pastordanielfusco

Faith has the power to change how a moment of temptation ends. Everyone faces temptation, but temptation itself is not the problem. The real question is what happens next. When faith begins to slip, sin often follows because it becomes easy to trust personal ideas or the subtle lies of the enemy instead of the goodness of God. Even Jesus was tempted in every way, yet He never sinned. Every moment of temptation is an opportunity to trust God, stand on truth, and choose the path that leads to life. #jesusisreal #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington #vancouverpdxliving #pastordanielfusco

Rest was never an afterthought in God’s plan. It was woven into creation from the very beginning. It is always such a gift when my good friend Dominic Done comes to be with us. As we wrapped up the All Good Series, Pastor Dominic led us through Day 7 in Genesis 2:1-3 and reminded us that Sabbath is part of God’s original vision for a good and flourishing world. When God rested, He was delighting in what He had made. His rest shows us that the world can be sustained without constant striving. It reminds us that lives are not held together by human effort, but by His faithfulness. Sabbath was never meant to be a burden. It is a gift rooted in joy, trust, and grace. There remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, and Jesus invites every weary heart to find true rest for the soul in Him. And don’t forget, the LoveNOW Winter Food Drive continues for one more week. It has been incredible to see the food already overflowing. Bring donations, shop the Amazon Wish List, or serve with Sunday collection and sorting at crossroadschurch.net/lovenow. There are many great events coming in the weeks ahead, so be sure to stay up to date at crossroadschurch.net/events. Already looking forward to gathering together again next Sunday! #jesusisreal #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington #vancouverpdxliving #pastordanielfusco

Life is hard, messy, and unpredictable, but God is still good. Not just sometimes, not only when things go your way, but even in the middle of chaos and pain. His goodness is bigger than your struggles, stronger than your doubts, and deeper than any fear or disappointment you are facing right now. When life gets tough, do not let it shake your faith. God is still working and has the final word. Even when belief feels small, your honest prayer matters. Say, “Lord, I believe, help my unbelief,” and trust that He is faithful. Look to the cross and see God’s goodness in full display, steady, constant, and unchanging. #jesusisreal #godisgood #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington #lifeismessy #pastordanielfusco

You were created on purpose and for a purpose. That truth alone brings hope. When faith in Jesus becomes real, God comes close and begins shaping your life from the inside out. You start to see yourself differently. Life is no longer random or directionless. You were created for God, and as your heart leans into that truth, the direction of your life begins to change in meaningful ways. #jesusisreal #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington #vancouverpdxliving #pastordanielfusco

God is always at work, often in ways that are unexpected and right on time. A life of faith stays attentive, open handed, and responsive to what the Lord is doing right now. Readiness is not about having all the answers. It is about trusting God enough to say yes when He moves and stepping forward with hope, courage, and worship. #jesusisreal #FaithInAction #ChooseGratitude #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington vancouverpdxliving pastordanielfusco

God formed the ground beneath our feet so that our lives could become deeply rooted in Him. Today we reflected on day 3 of creation in Genesis 1:9–13. On a crisp and bright winter morning, we were reminded of how ordered and intentional our God is. He gathered the waters, revealed the land, and caused seed bearing life to flourish. The same God who separated earth and ocean is still shaping our lives today so that we might bear real and lasting fruit. God is glorified when lives are fruitful, not just outwardly busy, but inwardly transformed. The prayer is that fresh fruit would grow in every season as hearts simply respond to Jesus. Not fruit for personal gain, but fruit that blesses the world around us. This Year of Transfiguration continues to remind us that our circumstances become the curriculum God uses to form Christ within us. When faith is chosen over fear, hope over cynicism, and love over self-protection, the life of Jesus becomes visible through ordinary people. Because Jesus is real, we really are a family of faith, fully engaged, transforming our community and our world. I am so encouraged by our first monthly prayer gathering and the early stories coming out of Share Jesus. Keep praying, keep sharing, and visit crossroadschurch.net/sharejesus to tell your story and find resources. And don’t forget! Married and engaged couples: we would love to see you at Couples Connect on February 6 for a fun bingo date night and community together. Every year, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I read “Letters From a Birmingham Jail.” In it, MLK responds to clergy who criticized his actions as, “unwise and untimely.” Maybe you’re like me, and you try to imagine yourself in the 1960’s, with all the turmoil and unrest. Would you have marched with Dr. King? Or stood in opposition? Or just sat silently, neither for or against. Racism is a sin which grieves the heart of God. We don’t have the luxury to sit silently which brothers and sisters of color are mistreated. The body of Christ should lead the way in seeking reconciliation with people of color, and stand to defend them when their humanity is disregarded. “In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” -Martin Luther King, Jr. #MLK #MLKday #MLKquote #MartinLutherKingJr #ihaveadream #love #justice #peace #jesusisreal

God is the ultimate artist. He speaks through every sunrise, every sunset, and every quiet moment of beauty that stops us in our tracks. He did not just create the scene. He created the heart that responds to it. Nothing God has made is accidental. All of it carries value and points back to who He is. Pause. Look around. Let creation remind you of the Creator. #jesusisreal #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington #vancouverpdxliving #pastordanielfusco

The world keeps saying, “Just be your authentic self.” But deep down, so many people know there is more than that. More freedom. More hope. More life. Here is the good news. Jesus does not meet people with pressure or shame. He meets them with grace and then begins a beautiful work from the inside out. When trust is placed in Him, God places His Spirit within. His love starts shaping everyday moments. His peace begins to steady hearts. His patience grows where frustration once lived. Growth in Jesus is not about striving or pretending. It is about letting the life of Christ already planted within rise to the surface. That is real transformation. That is real joy. And that is who people were always created to become. #jesusisreal #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington #authenticself #pastordanielfusco

People do not change through judgment. People change through grace. Grace creates space for honesty. Grace invites hearts to open. Grace meets people where they are and believes God is still at work. When grace leads the way, walls come down, hope rises, and real transformation begins. Let grace be louder than criticism. Let love do the work only God can do. This is how lives are changed. #jesusisreal #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington #grace #pastordanielfusco

God is for you, not against you. No one is too broken, too messy, or too far gone for God to meet them right where they are. Every life has places that feel hidden or unfinished, but those places do not scare God away. They are often the very places where His grace shows up the strongest. From the beginning, people have tried to hide when shame creeps in, yet God has always been the One who steps closer. When God is invited into the places that feel dark or uncomfortable, everything begins to change. Jesus redeems what feels broken, restores what feels lost, and renews what feels worn down. So open the door. Let Him in. Even there. Especially there. God is faithful, and transformation always follows surrender. #jesusisreal #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington #shame #pastordanielfusco

Wishing you a very merry and blessed Christmas from my family to yours! Christmas is a reminder of how personal God’s love really is. God sees you completely, the broken places, the mistakes, the questions, and instead of pulling away, He comes close. Jesus is God stepping into our world to remind you that you are loved, wanted, and never alone. As today is spent with family, friends, or quiet moments, my prayer is that the presence of Jesus would be the greatest gift you receive. Because when He is near, everything changes. Be blessed. God loves you, and so do I! #jesusisreal #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington #vancouverpdxliving #pastordanielfusco

There’s so much good waiting for you this season when you make room for Jesus! Even in the midst of busy schedules and endless to-dos, God wants to be born anew in your heart. This Christmas, open your heart and say, “God, I want Jesus to be born afresh and anew in me, to make room in my heart and my soul that wherever Jesus wants to work in me, I’m open for that.” #jesusisreal #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington #vancouverpdxliving #pastordanielfusco

God chose to enter the world in the most unexpected way, through the birth of Jesus in a simple manger. In that moment, the light and life every heart is searching for stepped into the darkness. Christmas reminds us that hope is not found in circumstances, but in Jesus, who came close, brought grace, and continues to shine even now. Keep your eyes on Jesus, because His light still changes everything. #jesusisreal #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington #vancouverpdxliving #pastordanielfusco

The world often divides people, but Jesus calls the church to love differently. Everyone is someone God deeply cares about and wants to welcome into His family. Mercy changes hearts, and simple acts of kindness and care show His love in ways words never can. When compassion leads, people see God’s grace in real life. This generation is reached not by pushing people away, but by loving them exactly where they are. #jesusisreal #FaithInAction #ChooseMercy #LoveLikeJesus #HopeInJesus #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington #vancouverpdxliving #pastordanielfusco

Christmas brings it back to what matters most. God is with us, and God is for us. No hoping. No guessing. God stepped close in Jesus to show His heart. No matter the past or the mess, God is not against you. God is for you. Open hands are all it takes to receive the gift of grace. Let this season remind you of how near and how loving God truly is. #jesusisreal #vancouverwa #vancouverwashington #vancouverpdxliving #pastordanielfusco #christmashope #emmanuel #godwithus #godisforus #goodnews #faithinjesus
