I don't know why I wrote "so far", though. Surely now is when I get to retire? It would mean I couldn't then get the 2033 prize @mervatim promised me, but you can't have everything.
English

@wwborders Spelling of "honor" is in deference to @wwborders house style.
(Also my original tweet was one character too long.)
English

Thank you for the lovely tweets, calls & messages about this. And thank you to the great @wwborders for the honor. But mostly, thank you to those many friends with whom I've collaborated on these things, all of whose work enabled all of mine. Very proud of what we've done so far.

@Mat_at_Brookes Yep, all OK! Will see you on Fb, and hopefully also in the world soon.
English

@danielhahn02 Rats! Oh, man. I hope you're okay and will casually view your shenanigans on FB.
English

@danielhahn02 But, but… who will fav-heart my facetious quips?
English

@danielhahn02 Hopefully our paths will cross in real life in the not too distant future & I can serenade you & make stupid jokes at you in person.
English

@charlesbeckett Thanks, Charles - too early to say that I can recommend it, but I confidently guessing that I will...

@Joannechocolat (Have been meaning to escape for several months but wanted to get this translation diary finished first, so I could spread the word as it developed. But free, as of today!)
English

@Joannechocolat Thanks, Joanne. Yes, all fine, and expecting to be even better when no longer on here. Look forward to seeing you in the real world soon.
English

@CharcoPress @danielhahn02 Hooray! Parabéns @danielhahn02! It’s been fun and instructive to follow your journey. Looking forward to seeing the finished book. @CharcoPress

@MelanieJFlorenc @botsford_cla @MarinaSofia8 @bcltuea Thanks - yes, I haven't been able to get it working from here for some reason, but the site seems fine.
English

@botsford_cla @danielhahn02 @MarinaSofia8 @bcltuea The thing to do is go direct to Danny's website, then no problem.
English

We're now recruiting for the next two dates (14 September & 12 October) in our series of one-day online workshops in literary translation, in association with @bcltuea.

@PiersTorday @questingvole @HachetteKids ... the latest thrilling instalment by the award-winning author of "The Penultimate Wild" and "The Antepenultimate Wild" ...
English

@questingvole @HachetteKids Confusingly this is the last book on the matter but it is set before the first one, which was called the last one. Simples!
English

@Prangman7 @garymichael02 It's a miracle no mainstream Anglophone publisher has picked this one up yet.
English

@sawadhussain @mlynxqualey Not public yet, but just messaged you details...
English

@danielhahn02 OOH! Can't wait till you can reveal what the subject is. I really enjoy co-translating works where there are two authors. I did this with @mlynxqualey for Ghady and Rawan.
English

So it seems that nonfiction has come out as more preferable to translate! #xl8 Anyone working on a nonfiction project right now? Would love to hear about it.
Sawad Hussain@sawadhussain
What do you prefer to translate? Why? #xl8 #amtranslating both at the moment! It's surprisingly refreshing to jump back and forth, compared to having two fiction projects on at the same time.
