@AdamAkbani You're right that they probably should. I'd be shocked if they did just because of lack of depth. Church is probably ready defensively, but the bat isn't there yet. Velasquez hasn't played in AAA yet. They're already going to be thin with Noot on the DL

The Cardinals have to consider starting Jordan Walker at AAA, given how many other outfielders are MLB-ready and are deserving of regular PAs He has one MILB option left

First time seeing this card of my Dad’s - @Dodgers Triple A then prior to his ‘69 NL Rookie of Year. He led @spokaneindians w/ a .314 that yr - hand injury (see glove) moved him from C to OF. Ultimately to 2B during his 12 yr @MLB career. Cool find. @AugieNash @philparsons98

@ctgolf17 @SleeperSTL Was this in 2009? I think Mark DeRosa has talked about this before. He’d just been traded over and Cards were down, Pujols comes up and they get the closer (Franklin, I guess) up in the pen and guys in the dugout say “watch this” and then next pitch leaves the yard

@SleeperSTL Reds fan here. Went to a game once in Cincy, he came up with the bases loaded late and literally everyone in the stadium knew he was going to hit it out. There was seriously no reaction from the crowd because it was such a sure thing. Funniest moment I’ve had at a game lol

I’m sure the sub 7 SO/9, 5+ walks/9, WHIP near 1.6, and FIP north of 5 had nothing to do with it I’ve never seen a former professional athlete 1) have to remind people constantly that they played and 2) blame others constantly for why they sucked when they did play

I hated them growing up and now, I like them. I even got to play in them a little in Spring 2010. Had Freddy Gonzalez not had some reason to hate me…. I’m thinking Yost or Whatever that guys name that managed me last in Milwaukee, I’d played longer…. Boy was Florida a 🎪 in spring that year. Talk about no one knowing what’s going on and different levels of players doing whatever they wanted….

@victoraren57 Cuz that success wasn't as great under the hood either. His arsenal isn't very deep, command has always been an issue for him. I hope he proves me wrong! But I remain skeptical.

I rewatched the condensed 2011 World Series Game 6 this morning (as one does on a Tuesday in late January), and we had no business winning that game. The Salas, Freese, and Holliday errors in the first half of the game should've buried us. I miss pitchers running with bulky jackets as well. God Bless Lance Berkman, by the way #STLCards
