#gafefsu takeaway: A constant point of reflection should be "Would I want to be a student in my class?" If I am mindful of this with each lesson and unit I create, I can ensure my lessons are student driven!

Luckily our Journey's online component allows students to listen to the ebook of our weekly anchor text. This allows all students to access to a text that may not be at their specific reading level! I love audio books myself. 🎧 The Libby app is the best!

"Audiobooks are most definitely reading...not only provide a path to story and information for kids who have visual impairments, dyslexia diagnoses or learning disabilities but that they are powerful learning tools for all of us." edsurge.com/news/2021-02-1… #edtech #edchat

An #aha moment I had this week is that I can share my updated teaching portfolio with my students to show that I am a #lifelonglearner and inspire them to do the same! #gafefsu

An #aha moment I’ve had while working on my #PBL lesson is that I can make existing lessons and units better by revamping them to include elements of project based learning! #gafefsu

Currently working on a #PBL lesson on landslides. Students will explore ways to keep a community safe during a natural disaster through the use of stream tables. #gafefsu

Knowing my own creative type has helped me to understand myself better as a learner and teacher so in order to understand my students better, it is necessary to know their creative type.

An aha moment I've had in the course so far is that it is important to understand each individual student's creative type so that I can ensure each student is accessing important information in a way that is best for him/her.

My favorite way to use #hyperdocs is with my Journeys reading lessons. I create a new Hyperdoc for each weekly anchor text, which allows students to digitally work through the story & the related assignments throughout the week. This has been a life saver during remote learning!

My biggest #aha moment this week was that I can have my students make their own Google Site to showcase all that they have learned and created digitally during remote learning! It will be a great resource to share with their parents and next years' teachers!
