@keithkothman Currently dealing with licensing issues with Sibelius, so I might avoid PT as long as I can!

PC vs Mac. I sorely need to upgrade my laptop to handle music production software for collaborations. Do most composers/producers use Apple products? Would I benefit with access to Mac-specific software, like Logic? Or is a PC with Pro Tools likely sufficient? #musicproduction

@abbytheoboist Good to know! I’ve been using Reaper, so I’m hoping that the learning curve will be manageable to Pro Tools if I never need to transition

@michael_cryne I'm pretty sure if I get a Mac, I'll get sucked into the ecosystem and my tablet to an iPad and get an Apple watch and 💸💸💸💸😂

@daniellekharp Well, if I can show my bias for a sec, the OS is a way better experience. Then there’s the M-series of processors… But a lot of that is subjective. Why not take a look at a Mac in store or something?

@michael_cryne I’ve used PC for so long, that I’m not sure it’s worth the learning curve for Apple. That being said, I highly prefer my iPhone to my Android experience! So, I could be convinced…

@daniellekharp It’s never been less important IMO. Use what you’re happiest with. Logic will only run on Mac, but 99% of other software runs on both. I much prefer the whole Apple software experience, but PC/windows is absolutely fine.

Not to add to the notation software woes, but does anyone else have perpetual issues with Sibelius licensing? I got a monthly Ultimate license for a project and I'm locked out again. (Ticket already submitted to help.) I'm this close to giving up on #Avid. #musicnotation

@Avid I already heard back from support, but thanks! Just hoping that this will not be an ongoing issue, since I was dealing with this before upgrading to Ultimate.

@__daijana I'm just glad I didn't purchase the perpetual license! I was able to get in, but I'm not interested in uninstalling/reinstalling the license every time I open the program.
