🤷‍♂️ Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver book review 📲 Read my full review: lukeharkness.com/book-reviews/d… Demon Copperhead was either going to be a sink or swim for me based on the feedback I received before reading it. I can confidently say it swims. Demon Copperhead features a dark and often at times depressing story but one laced with moments of lightness and humour and a fantastically nonchalant writing style from Kingsolver that makes it very enjoyable. A wealth of great characters and a main protagonist in Demon whose depth is properly explored rather than serving as a placeholder to guide you through the story. Give Demon Copperhead a chance. Yes, it may not be the most uplifting book, but by the end of it, I guarantee you'll absolutely love it.

🕵️‍♂️ The codebreaker who saved the war! I went to @bletchleypark today, which for those of you who don’t know is where the famous Enigma code was broken that essentially won the war for us Brits! Alan Turing invented the Bombe machine which deciphered the code and was refined by Gordon Welchman to make it actually useful! There was a gift shop and so obviously I had to check out the book offerings and after a quick Look on Goodreads and a recommendation, I picked up The Rose Code by @KateQuinnAuthor which is about three women during the decoding that happened at Bletchley Park during the Second World War! Have you read it??
