Allowing child poverty to worsen is a political choice. Today, Labour has chosen differently.
Campaigning for an end to the Tories’ two child benefit limit was one of the first things Mainstream did after our launch in September last year.

Lifting the two child benefit cap was a key win for Labour MPs, trade unions and anti-poverty campaigners.
However, the Government's child poverty strategy does little to build on that success.
It must go further and faster in tackling the scourge of child poverty.

Just to be clear. At my inclusive CLP, I was the elected Womens Officer for three years, was approved by a Labour-appointed panel to be a candidate on an AWS, and was an elected delegate for the National Womens Conference in 2022.
Now I am banned because I am transgender.
