@eilishsilie @danniemedia I don't think any rugby player has been knighted that young in New Zealand. Richie McCaw reportedly turned one down, but then got the Order of New Zealand. They tend to get their knighthoods later in life - Meads, Lochore, Whineray, Kirwan, Williams, Shelford, Allen, Graham.

When I think about what they did to Jeremy Thorpe I get so mad. One of the best leaders we ever had and yet the media knew they could weaponise the British public's homophobia to completely ruin the career of a gay man who did nothing wrong. He deserved so much better.

@eilishsilie I initially wondered why they were referring it to the bunker rather than just dishing out a 20-minute red card on the field after watching the replays, but now I think that allowing more time for consideration probably helps with these fine judgments about yellow v red.
