You cannot go anyhwere in the US anymore without feeling taking advantage of. Every restaurant, every lease agreement, every purchase. Everything is so blatantly predatory. Like they don't even care to be subtle about the fact that they're operating in bad faith. And we're all just submissive to it

@RobMKendall Most People aren’t going to be happy with local income taxes (LIT) in the offing. LIT will seal property tax ‘reform’ as having been pointless, and a giveaway to ‘small biz’ and IN Chamber of Commerce.

But they retired as if it was. If your retirement plan requires income that doesn't exist yet, it's not a plan. It's a hope.

@jstewartIndy @RobMKendall Hoosiers have no clue of the LIT onslaught that is coming soon. The property tax rabble-rousers accomplished $-0- beneficial. Except helping the IN Chamber of Commerce push ‘small biz’ giveaway over the goal line. GOP leadership may soon toy with increasing 7% sales tax, too.

@ChronicHoosier Honest question - when did the standard change? Knights last 6-7 years were all exits in the 1st or 2nd rd to extremely inferior teams. Davis got us to a inprobable title game game run in ‘02 and after that the last run was in 2011-12, followed by 2012-13, 2015-16.

The standard is the standard & it's fallen waaay too far. That has to change now. It begins by ensuring EVERYONE is accountable for doing their damn jobs. There's far to much pride, far too many resources, and far too many means for it to be what it's become. FIGURE IT OUT. #iubb

@Schultz975 Those programs, to say nothing of Gonzaga, Villanova, (dread) UConn, got beyond IU by leaps and bounds after 1994. IU put down Duke at Sweet 16 in 1987, when IU and Knight were the big brother to Duke & Coach K. In particular, IU v Duke fortunes turned sharply after ‘87.

I gave up on IU being Kansas, UK, Duke, or Carolina ever again a long, long time ago, but there is zero excuse for a program with their resources and advantages to miss the NCAA Tournament 80% of a decade.

@jakequery Forty years ago, 1986, the Season on the Brink, IU notched Bob Knight’s 1st ever first round NCAA loss to Cleveland St. Once aberrant events like that, and worse, have been commonplace since 1994.

I wouldn’t be stunned if IU declined a potential NIT. Not because “they’re Indiana”, but because their roster will be rebuilt. Not just tweaked.

@Schultz975 Purdue’s annual formula-run it back every year (like the Colts)-appears to not be working. IU’s annual formula-empty the roster and refill it with spare parts-has never worked. And has been tried repeatedly.

@mass_ave Neither Indiana's 'freeze/thaw cycle' or 'urban/rural road funding formula' results is to blame for Indy's potholes. Political antipathy to motorists is visible on all Indy's roads. No efforts by City Hall and IN Gen Ably to make roads better. Except those bounding Lilly's HQ.
