@robertliefeld Agree. Wemby & maybe kawhi are saving our season by bringing competitive fire back. The weak rule changes, lack of defense etc have led to a lack of adversity, which means less interesting games, & watered down the product overall. Everyone conspiring for Bam to hit 83 was weak.

It's completely okay to be loyal. I still have my loyalty to Marvel both for individual editors and the company as a whole. They've been very good to me. But we're not employees, we're contracted bounty hunters. Be like the Mandalorian. Have a an honor and code but also realize that you have to eat. They understand. They just want honesty.

I think a lot of people are under this misconception including some creators. After over a decade working for Marvel I took the dive into doing some work at DC for the first time. I was worried the friends I had made at Marvel would be hurt or feel betrayed. Their reaction was to be excited for me and looking forward to seeing what I did with DC's characters. And the work offers from Marvel never stopped coming. It's a rivalry but it feels friendly. And the creators just want to make kick-ass stuff regardless of the company they work for.

Is this a hot take? Writing a comic book requires more effort than it takes to draw one. As a writer, you need to be aware how much work the artists are going to put into bringing your script to life. As well, you need to be aware how much time money and effort a reader is going to put into consuming it. Don’t put the success or failure of your comic onto your artist. Take responsibility. Put in the work. Your readers will thank you for it.
