I heard a quote that is absolutely brilliant, especially when we look at the current market environments: "there are decades where weeks happen and there are weeks where decades happen" - @Julianpetroulas Read that again We are currently in a period where it feels like weeks happen in decades. Slow, boring, messy. Just be ready once the table turns.

@fannitrades Keep it up Fanni, if I could give a tip, it's the session before CPI. Would not recommend trading then since it's usually messy and not really any clean orderflow.

I watched a guy blow $5,000 in a single trading session last year the crazy part? he called every move correctly before he made it this guy had been trading for years genuinely good at reading the market he’d send me setups the night before and they’d play out almost perfectly his analysis wasn’t the problem I was on a call with him when it happened he took a trade, clean setup and it stopped him out by 3 points then reversed exactly where he said it would normal day, move on but he didn’t move on he went straight back in same pair and bigger size “I know where this is going, I’m just getting my money back” it stopped him out again now he’s emotional and takes a third trade even bigger size, no setup, just anger I watched him on screen share narrate exactly what he was doing wrong in real time “I know I shouldn’t be doing this” he did it anyway by the end of the session he’d turned a $200 loss into $5,000 gone his strategy hadn’t failed him, he just couldn’t stop himself when it mattered most nothing between his emotions and the execution button that’s the real problem most traders never talk about it’s not the strategy it’s not the market it’s the 4 seconds between “I know I shouldn’t” and clicking the button anyway that call is why I built TradeGuard a chrome extension for TradingView that physically blocks you from executing trades when you break your own rules max trades per day, time windows, entry criteria, cooldown timer not a warning a hard block you set your rules once the moment you try to break them, the execution doesn’t go through no override, no “just this one time” works on every market inside TradingView try it first 7 days completely for free if you’ve ever watched yourself blow up a good trading day in real time and couldn’t stop it this was built for you

when you understand what being a trader actually is it sounds too easy that's why people still fuck up because they think it should be hard

just met a cute girl at the wedding i’m at like actually cute. objectively dangerous face card. we’re talking. vibes are immaculate. she’s laughing at my jokes. i’m in my bag. aura farming effortlessly. then crypto gets brought up, she says it “i trade” my ears PERKED up i played it cool. i said “oh nice, what do you trade” she said “mostly altcoins” and that’s where a normal person would’ve said “cool” and gotten her number but i am not a normal person my brain instantly went into terminal mode and i said “what’s your all-time pnl” she looked confused i kept going “realized or unrealized? spot or perps? what’s your max leverage? what’s your liquidation history? what’s your risk per trade? do you even use stops or are you one of those ‘conviction’ people” she laughed nervously and said “i kinda just buy dips” and i said “on what timeframe” she said “when it looks low” and i said “so you don’t actually trade crypto” the vibe was GONE just vanished. nuked. full liquidation candle on the 1-minute. her friend pulled her away. she didn’t look back. i was standing there alone at a wedding holding a drink i wasn’t even sipping, doing MENTAL MATH on whether her portfolio was just 80% memes, 20% cope, and 100% exit liquidity my friend walked over and said “bro she was into you what happened” i said “she said she’s a trader and then described buying whatever was trending on tiktok” he said “so?” SO??? i would rather die alone than let a casual spot dca moonbagger think we are the same species she had a pretty face but a DISGUSTING cost basis and i simply cannot overlook that could’ve had her number but she knows i respect market structure and honestly that’s worth more
