@bunnihoppy the point is you're right, it was wrong of people like me not to speak up sooner, i wish i did, and i wish i wasnt so scared to do more than just speak up

@bunnihoppy there was also probably an element of being in denial and thinking that staying silent (as a white man) would keep me safe, and even though i knew it was naive and wrong to think that way, i had been holding onto it, and this past week just made me finally internalize the truth

@bunnihoppy ill be 100% honest about the fact that i didnt speak up cause i was scared, and while im even more scared now, the fact that so many people started to speak up made me less scared and thats why i, in particular, didnt speak up until now, i was a coward basically

dont get me wrong, im glad people are paying attention to ICE now, but the general lack for ICE resistance up until the death of a white woman is genuinely disheartening. they’ve been taking innocent people for so long and no one cared until recently and that kinda rlly sucks
