@jamonholmgren @venikunche @epicodus 💯 Not everyone is ready for their first role. Having internship experience included in boot camp curriculum in the first place makes a big difference in getting ready though, as does career and job support. Epicodus has at least been intentional about offering that.

@danitcodes @venikunche @epicodus Yeah for sure. They are very active about reaching out to companies for internships, which is a big benefit. But one must be ready for and seize those opportunities.

@jamonholmgren @venikunche @epicodus In my experience, Epicodus is what you make of it as a student. I have a number of cohort peers that are succeeding as devs post-grad; one close friend got promoted in under a year and kicks butt. Other peers still haven't even gotten their first tech roles. 🤷‍♀️

@danitcodes @venikunche @epicodus I had two interns from @epicodus, who didn’t work out, but one of my top devs went there and I hired her later after her first coding job out of the bootcamp.

@thegrumpyenby You should talk to @thejonanshow! The last I was talking with him, he was building a devrel team for the company he works for in Germany, and is just, in general, an excellent devrel resource. :)

My paperwork has officially been signed to volunteer at #RubyConfHouston! Super excited to work with @rubycentralorg for my first volunteer gig at a tech conference, and excited to have time with old and new friends in the community!
