May hard days cause a spiritual renewal in the land. Heal those traumatized by violence and death. Help us to be quick to forgive one another. Bring your light to the hidden evils of our land. We confess we have lost our way. Give us new mercy and grace today.

God, we pray for the United States. We pray for peace across our land. We pray against violence. Keep all leaders safe from harm. Help us to love our neighbors, strangers, and even our enemies. Turn our hearts toward you and your ways. Convict us of our sins.
