@truthstreamnews Exactly. "What turns you on?" "What can you not live without?" "What traumatizes you?" "What is your biggest vulnerability?" "What can you never say no to?" "What do you hate?" Sigh...

@truthstreamnews I saw him once after he had made it big back in Ridgecrest, and he was just cool and polite. I was always proud that someone from our tiny town made it big like that.

@truthstreamnews I knew his Dad and stepmother (Tex and Marti), and he moved to San Diego a couple of years after he finished high school. He met Tom and Scott and formed Blink 182. His folks told us he was in a band, but we had no idea it would be so big.

Someone on here told me to grow up and act my age cuz I’m a number now. Yeah so, for the record, I’m never gonna do that. Ever. I’ve seen too many people kill themselves in their minds long before they died that way.

We hear debates all the time that we’re living in a simulation. We’d like to propose an alternate theory, that we’re living in a dissimulation — a false pretense of reality. “Simulation is a pretense of what is not, and dissimulation a concealment of what is.”

@Eh_Canada_Goose @truthstreamnews Given that the film rights weren't even purchased by Apple until 2022, and the first video I saw about NASA having this lot full of cars was in 2020, it wasn't for the film that they acquired them. Unless, that is, I'm still retarded for not believing that NASA is psychic.

So will used cars end up costing more than new cars because people will be trying to get the last vehicles that can’t be shut down remotely via software?

Does anyone really think they can use someone’s social media account to approximate that person with AI? You’d maybe end up with one fraction of a fraction of a tiny percent of a hazy picture of that person. A shadow of a ghost of a memory at best. A few puzzle pieces that might not even connect, but not the puzzle. Hell, not even the picture on the cover of the puzzle box. I use this spot for only a few things that equal a tiny part of what I think about in a day. Dissenters and iconoclasts serve a purpose, and I think it’s a very important one. Society wouldn’t function even at all without them (and nothing would ever change for the better either), but it’s not the whole of who I am not even close. What an ill-fitting costume in a tiny box that would be. Westworld robots would be more multifaceted than whatever digital “twin” (soulless tulpa) our online data would generate of us. I’d have to make a thousand accounts at least, and even if you put them all together, still none of them would be me. I’m too much for this place and if you think about it, so are you. Whatever, I probably put more personal info on MySpace back in the day. (At least Tom let you choose a soundtrack to set the mood for your page for the day.)

In 2024, the Supreme Court ruled local governments can enforce bans on sleeping or camping on public property, even when there's nowhere else to go. SO the question is: where are Americans who can no longer afford to live in America — and I mean that literally — supposed to go?

Real Question: House prices are too expensive for many, but so is renting now, so more people are turning to RVs and vans and converting sheds at Home Depot into tiny homes, but even that is starting to cost too much due to rents. Living in storage units is a trend now.

@GeneralMCNews I support our police. No one should speak out and stoke fears in the community. If she was arrested, there was clearly a good reason. The public should worry about what we tell them to worry about. The quicker the public understands that, the better.

These problems are whole pillars of our economy, control valves and switches that have kept us in the status quo for over a century at least. This is the elephant in the room. Any promises that don’t address this might as well be snake oil from used snake oil salesmen.

Even if AI could solve every major problem humanity has (energy scarcity, cancer and disease, environmental issues, etc) — Why would anyone believe the vampires running things would ever allow that to happen? Our society is based on monetizing these problems, not solving them.

Talking Heads performing “Once in a Lifetime” at The Pantages Theatre in 1983 feels like watching a nervous breakdown turn into art. The groove keeps moving, David Byrne looks like he’s receiving messages from another planet, and the whole performance captures that strange feeling of waking up inside your own life and wondering how you got there.
