Oh boy, the top of our order is coming up in the bottom of the eighth in a tie game! Certainly if one of them gets on we have a guy batting cleanup that is a threat to drive them in right? Not a guy who’s left 20 men on base this season??

Again, I love Masyn Winn. But if he’s still a cleanup hitter after this Mets series I will be calling for Oli’s extension to be rescinded

Someone should check my math, but I think Masyn Winn has left 16 men on base so far this year. I love Masyn Winn, I really do, he’s probably one of three Cardinals I’d want a jersey of, but having him as a cleanup hitter is just not getting it done

I am going to be mad at Oli for having Masyn Winn bat cleanup until it is not happening any more, and even then I will only be happy if it’s a more standard power hitter like Herrera or Walker. Maybe old school lineups were like that for so long was cause it worked

Like, why not have, I don’t know, Masyn Winn batting second and bunt your runner on first over and then you have a man on 2nd for Burleson and Herrera with one out?

Maybe I’m just old school but I personally don’t think a cleanup hitter should be bunting ever and the fact you have a cleanup hitter you’d want to have bunting is maybe the problem to begin with
