Day 40 of #100DaysOfCode : missed a few days on family duty, but excited to say I'm starting a new role next week 🎉 So back to it 💪🏼 Researching Ruby today, came across the principle 'duck typing' - I've seen the quote (if it walks/quacks🦆) but can anyone enlighten further?!

Day 41 of #100DaysOfCode: For the first half of today, I'd basically fallen in love with Ruby. Simple syntax, easy to read and understand, similarities to Python... ...but then I came to the OOP aspect and once again, my brain is frazzled 😂 Come on Ruby, make me into an OOP-er!

Couple of chats today ☕️ Met with Yazdun for a second time and we actually discussed a lot more outside tech subjects. Yazdun is very empathetic and down to earth, understands different situations and perspectives very well. Shortly after I had a chat with someone called Riley who was looking to get a game dev studio going with 3 other guys, one of which joined in on the call. We had different backgrounds and directions in terms of career, but it was nice to speak to Riley and co on the whole. FYI I’m starting to feel a bit strained with keeping up with all these coffee chats. I’ve had numerous meetings with people from all over the world and it has been fun, but I may put the majority of remaining calls on hold until further notice - I can’t manage 5 to 7 calls a day! **P.S not tagging individuals ongoing as I don’t want to make anyone feel uncomfortable**

After a small hiatus visiting family sans laptop...Day 37 of #100DaysOfCode: Continuing with React Native, I have a fully functioning 'To Do' App...now to get used to the styling quirks before linking to a backend :) Also spent a beautiful few hours in the park, 'coding' ;)

Day 38 & 39 of #100DaysOfCode : Spent a silly amount of time stumped over what turned out to be a silly typo 😂 Oh and a tough virtual interview where my internet decided to crash 3 x🙈 Why does it only crash when you need it most?! Oh well, always tomorrow 🌞

@csturner88 Thank you ☺️ I just took the route of being honest and if I didn’t know the exact answer, I said I didn’t. It’s called ‘Product Engineer’, so more supporting the product team and dev teams so not exactly software development but a step towards it. I found it through Otta.

Day 36 of #100DaysOfCode : first Technical Interview completed 💪🏼 I wasn’t sure how it went, lots of SQL questions (which I haven’t touched in a few months) but somehow I’ve made it to the next round 😊 Nerves did steal my attention today but I continued on with my RN course

Day 35 of #100DaysOfCode: aka anxiously await attempt 2 of sofa delivery (another failure, ah well!) Coding wise - Took a break from React Native today and revisited my portfolio website, neatening up the styling and responsiveness. And of course daily CodeWars 🤺

Day 34: Learning React Native, coding React Native and dreaming React Native 😂 I didn't realise how different it is to React but also how similar it is...who knew that was possible?! On another note, I have my first technical interview on Thurs :O Any tips? Nerves incoming...

@gosty93 😂 that made me chuckle! Well credit to you for just diving in and giving it a go :) Sometimes that can be the best way to learn (although admittedly sometimes turns into hate for something haha)
