Our U12’s, it’s not just coaching them how to kick a ball but teaching them to understand, a player with speed of thought will always be better than one with speed in their feet. It’s vital to get players to think about the risks of the decision they make. Up the Mead 🔴⚫️🔴⚫️

We were low on numbers, but we had a laugh, we ended the session with an old style game of killer with a ball. It’s great seeing kids laughing and enjoying themselves even in the rain. We also got the youth teams away tops to wear rather than bibs. Up the Mead 🔴⚫️🟢🔴⚫️🟢🔴⚫️🟢

It’s moments like today that make all the hours given being a grassroots coach worth it, it’s not the trophies won but the love and respect shown by ex players or current. Receiving birthday messages from ex players, then today receiving these is why I love being a coach.
