@overkase @adamjohnsonCHI Correct. This may be pedantic, but I think that the disconnect between the media narrative and the feelings of Americans in this case is much greater than 9/11. At the same time it has been troubling how the narrative has totally been one sided.

@overkase @adamjohnsonCHI Also, that’s not to say that the American government won’t continue to support atrocities, but I don’t think the American public will be as supportive of it as they were post 9/11. How/if that will affect policy, I don’t know.

@willystaley A lot has to do with how beer distributors operate. Won’t bore with too many details, Constellation brands (parent company) is the most profitable brand for many distributors. They exert a lot of power and have been consolidating their distribution footprint (especially in CA)

@pdlmma @HugeMantis Agreed. Even historically the line between “serious” conservatives (i.e. Buckley) and the fringe hasn’t been that great. To put it in San Diego terms, I have a friend who lives in PQ and a bunch of his neighbors are right wingers but they make fun of the right wingers in Santee.
