I’ll share something personal with you. My best friend is an H1B visa holder. Born and raised in Italy. Lives in New York for the past decade. He’s done everything right. Went to college here when he could barely speak our language. Got a job. Pays taxes. Contributes to our economy, society, and culture. We were grabbing a bite on Friday when the news broke out that H1B visa holders would be required to pay $100,00 per year. He was legitimately devastated at the prospect of having to leave the country he calls home. The next morning, when I called him and said the fee will not apply to existing visa holders, he cried, uncontrollably on the phone for a full minute straight. If he isn’t the American Dream, then I don’t know what is. 🇺🇸

@bmantraffic The unique part is, we are using the bus entrance because they’re keeping the entire gate closed clearly to let it dry out. But who knows maybe they’ll be a big weight there longer than normal

The Black Rock City entrance Gate remains closed, though the rain stopped late last night and conditions are improving. Some areas of the city are passable and other areas are still muddy with standing water. Delay your travel to BRC — northbound SR447 is currently closed to event traffic in Nixon.

@1mixedup1652595 @bmantraffic When you drive from gerlach, the last town before black rock desert, you go on pavement about 20-30 min depending on traffic. You the drive onto entry road which is all desert sand, well organized, pretty packed, divided into multiple lanes. This is about 5 miles. Gravel to gate
