With Prof Olu Obafemi, Prof Femi Osofisan, Dr Anyadike and Prof Anyadike at Prof Biodun Jeyifo’s farewell in Ibadan. I also bumped into Prof Niyi Osundare. So many of them are around 80 years old. This means that they were the age that I am now when I first joined ANA. I’d studied their work at Uni so I was in awe of them. The first and only writing workshop I have ever attended was led by Prof Niyi Osundare in 1995/96. And Prof Osofisan promised to buy 10 copies of every edition of Olongo, a literary mag that I started publishing in 2002. I’m 52 now so I’ve been on the Nigerian literary scene for 31 years. Today, I am a writer, publisher, bookseller and I curate several literary festivals. I’m living my dream and it all started in Ibadan.

This song is the most spontaneous song I've ever seen, On the day of the recording, only MD knew the song a... so we got to the location and we started a bit late. It was the first song we recorded. MD came and was talking to us. He said he got the song in prayer with Min Theo. Next thing he went to the Piano to show Ernest the Chord progression...
