This is why I want Trump to be the U.S. president for life. He keeps exposing the hypocrisy of the United States leadership for the whole world to see. Biden or any other President would answered this question differently, with consistency in mind. What Trump has done here is basically letting you know all that talk about “dictatorship” means absolutely nothing when the United States wants something from you. They want something from China now, and that’s why Trump is refusing to call President Xi a dictator after previously calling him exactly that on numerous occasions. For Trump, consistency is out the window. The U.S. does the same in Africa, and elsewhere in the world. They would side with a supposed dictator as long that guarantees critical minerals and energy transfer to the U.S.
