'Trans-Europe Express' by Kraftwerk was released on this day in 1977. The sixth studio album by the German band, it spawned two singles: 'Trans-Europe Express' and 'Showroom Dummies'. The album became hugely influential, inspiring acts from Afrika Bambaataa to Joy Division.

'Seven and the Ragged Tiger' was released on this day in November 1983. Duran Duran's third studio album, it included the singles 'Union of the Snake', 'New Moon on Monday' and 'The Reflex (Remix)'. The album reached No.1 in the UK charts.
