A tentative agreement has been reached, and it's an important step forward. Serious legislating always happens behind the scenes, and @SenThomTillis and @Sen_Alsobrooks have been working hard to bridge a very difficult divide.
@patrickjwitt has been an unsung hero in moving this toward an agreement in principle. More work remains, but this is a major step toward CLARITY.

I’m now increasingly confident we’re going to get CLARITY through, and we’re not going to let the banks rig the outcome. Why? Because when the stakes are high, @ThomTillis knows how to solve problems. I first met him 19 years ago, after he finished his term on the Cornelius Town Council and was headed to @NCLeg. I was then working with Charlotte Mayor @PatMcCroryNC. From the State House speakership to the U.S. Senate, he has consistently shown the judgment, instinct, and discipline to take on hard problems and move them toward results. #NCPOL @TheSiliconHill

Had a great time working with @BlockchainAssn member @1inch this week.
We are at a time where policymaker's fundamental understanding of DeFi will be crucial for the lasting impact of market structure legislation.
Getting industry players to DC to provide live demonstrations of their products to policymakers and staff is extremely productive.
The education should never stop.
