They are a lot of things that the show is doing better than the comic, and that's normal, is a second chance for Kirkman to improve his story.
That been said, those two issues are one of my favorite issues of Invincible, it blow my mind when I read them as the show did with S4E2

Idiotic people see gray and equate it to bad color grading/ bland direction and never consider there may be tonal intention behind a scene’s specific color grading. MCU movies aren’t the highest of arts but they’re still art, and people need to educate themselves in the arts more

@Husk444 Yes! And to be fair, the "corrected" bright one, isn't good either. Because when you make everything bright, nothing stands out, to much noise. But yeah, I get what you say.

@danvsdan1 And I welcome that critique and am even willing to agree. but it’s this previously stated lack of art-ed that makes for such redundant convos every time one of these blockbusters come out. No one knows what they’re talking about and they just use buzzwords to appear knowledgeable

God, it really is an Absolute/Ultimate universe were everything is depressing, gritty and realistic because people just want to talk about their childhood cartoons without feeling judged and think this is the way to make it adult.

@luiseatscomics There is a whole generation of artist influenced by manga, and I cannot be more happy about it. That merge of comics and manga brought us such wonderful books.

People should take note that anime/manga's influence on comic book artists has been showing stylistically for a good while now. Jorge Jimenez, Dan Mora, Dexter Soy, Zoe Thorogood, clearly influenced by Japanese comics! It goes beyond covers!
