@ProfMadhuK My cat Tosh got the feline version of HIV (FIV?), and got run over by a car, having to have his tail amputated twice (impressive for only one tail). He pulled through both times and lived many years after. 20 years ago so no digital pics to add. Fingers crossed...

Because I like to accessorise my toddler's books with inspirational quotes, as crafted by the wonderful @ScienceOnA (may have bought some stuff for me too). And thanks to @hapsci for inadvertently making this happen.

He's arguing that we PEPs aren't being allowed the structure and agency to change unis, but are being marginalised. Not that we're incapable or incompetent! I hope...😀

And that there has been a focus on embedding PE by changing academic culture but this focus needs reorienting to the structure of PE within universities. Not culture change but organisational change. Interesting...

Also PE professionals "appear to lack the structure and agency and, analogously, the academic and economic capital necessary for meaningful and affective institutional leadership". How do we feel about that @gracehelen84 @ScienceArtReach @dsmith_edi @EngagementDom @kenskeldon?

An insurgency of engagement peeps met today to review all 21 #ResearchRevolution manifestos created by 80 delegates @NCCPE Engage conference (thank u to those that contributed) & discuss what the final draft (Wo)manifesto could look like. What do we want? So so many things! ✊

"Public discourse is fractured and fractious". A depressing and bleak summary of world challenges to start #Engage2019. And frankly, it's needed. Insular is no longer an option.
