Curious to learn more about CECOT? Hear Juan, Andry, and Wilmer share firsthand how the Trump administration branded them as gang members without evidence and deported them to the brutal El Salvadoran prison. youtube.com/watch?v=Lku5h9…

@BCbarnes_ @AmoneyResists So the FBI and Capital Police are the instigators? But Trump was still in power then. Why would Trump's people direct the FBI and the Capital Police to instigate?

He had a rally and said a peaceful protest of the election should be heard outside of the capital. FBI agents instigated and agitated American citizens into a frenzy and the capital police opened the doors and barricades. I’m not a big fan of Trump, but he had nothing to do with that other than stating the fact the elections have been compromised.

@gator_gum No. Haven't had rain since early June. Sure, it sucks that I can walk the local trails, but I think that I can survive until the next rainfall. Better than forest fires.

@RepJackKimble So if you can’t do the job correctly, then you should resign and let someone who will read the bills represent the people of your state. Your job isn’t to vote how Trump tells you to - it is to advocate for the people in your district.

Full transparency, I did not know that the big beautiful bill was a real budget and would be used to determine spending levels. It seems to me that this is something that should have been made known to those in the House of Representative

@JasonOnTheDrums @PierrePoilievre Somehow he thinks that people will open his ballot, erase his vote and then switch it to something else. If vote counters had that kind of power and lack of oversight, they could just throw the vote out. But some people will do anything to fearmonger.

Do you support Mark Carney’s EV mandate? By 2035, you won’t be allowed to buy a gas or hybrid vehicle—no matter the cost, the lack of chargers, or if it works for your family. This government-knows-best plan will raise costs, kill choice, and risk blackouts.

@dieworkwear @yashar They do make “disposable” fountain pens for those who want to give one a try before diving down the rabbit hole.

Much depends on your preferences and what you're doing. If you’re signing thermal paper receipts—like those at restaurants—a basic Bic ballpoint works well. It writes reliably on that type of slick paper and is easy to carry. That said, ballpoints are generally unpleasant for extended writing. The ink flow is sluggish, making it feel like you’re dragging a stick through mud. For a smoother writing experience, try rollerballs and gel pens, such as Pilot Precise V5 and Pilot G2. They’re more comfortable for longer writing sessions while remaining convenient and fuss-free. But for a truly exceptional writing experience, nothing compares to a fountain pen. Fountain pens allow for real customization—you can choose from a range of nib styles, ink types, line variation, etc. Good entry-level models include the Lamy Safari, Pilot Metropolitan, and TWSBI Eco. I personally started with a Kaweco Brass Sport. My current daily pen is the Pilot 823 with a medium nib because I like a very smooth writing experience. However, getting into fountain pens means diving into a rabbit hole about nibs (German vs Japanese), ink properties, and paper type. Copier paper, for instance, isn’t ideal for fountain pens due to feathering and bleed-through. Maintenance is also part of the package—cleaning pens, refilling ink, and understanding how to store them. I generally don't carry them on my person because they have a non-zero percent chance of leaking and ruining clothes (thus why rollerballs and gel pens are still useful). Would consider: what are you doing, how do you plan to use the pen, how long will you be writing, and whether you're the type of person who enjoys fiddling with things (e.g., do you like vinyl records over MP3s, etc).

PLEASE SHARE MY VIDEO❤️I am thrilled and honoured to share this simple song with you today. A song, that I trust, invokes within you, the love, passion and respect, for all who have contributed to the tapestry of this great nation. From the ancient beginnings of our magnificent Indigenous Peoples, to the times of those who made the ultimate sacrifice while fighting against the horrors of despotism and tyranny, Canada has, and always shall be…Strong & Free. When respected and honoured, Canada is a friend, an ally, and a beacon of hope for the millions she holds in her embrace today and for the millions yet to come. Canada is NOT a coin to be placed into a slot machine, nor a card to be turned over on a gambling table. Canada is NOT something to be politicized, bartered for, nor sold. I trust you will enjoy and embrace this simple song. A song and a tale that chooses no sides in the elitist, political arena. It comes to you as a celebration of Canada’s beauty and as a call to action, encouraging you to cherish and protect the freedoms we enjoy today. With Glass Tiger, I have travelled the world carrying Canada’s message of friendship, including, to almost every “nook and cranny” within the great nation we call the USA. While travelling and performing there I have shared wonderful times with great people, who, like most of us, want only to live in peace and harmony with the rest of the world. I have also broken bread and shared fellowship in war zones with the brave men and women of our militaries, allied together to defend the freedoms that so many take for granted. My friends, whether you be Canadian, American, or from wherever you call home, this is “Canada’s Song,” and I am asking a favour of you today. PLEASE SHARE don’t just hit the like button. SHARE the video with your loved ones, your friends, your neighbours, your cat and dog if ya have one. SHARE IT TO THE WORLD! Let’s rescue our freedom from the clutches of those who would have us bow to their self-serving whims. Thank you in peace and harmony, Alan ❤️

@dbl0decoy @atrupar Bigger question is why it is the responsibility of Canada to determine what makes it into the US? US Border Patrol determine what gets into the US, just like Canadian Border Patrol determines what gets into Canada. Trump is blaming Canada for the failings of US Border Security.

@atrupar Lets say that it is all due to fentanyl. Why is no one asking why the biggest market for fentanyl is the US? If we weren't such good customers they wouldn't ship so much in. Supply vs demand, if it wasn't worth it they wouldn't bring it here. Why is it never our fault?

KERNEN: When you talk about fentanyl and Canada, it sounds like an excuse. 43 pounds came across the Canadian border last year versus 21,148 pounds from Mexico. So it is really fentanyl? LUTNICK: People say, 'Oh, it's only a small amount of opioids.' The president is not gonna that lying down. He's just not.

The median family income in the US has gone from 10K in 1971 to 55K today, a gain of 5.5x however, The median cost of a car has gone from 4K to 48K, an increase of 12x. The median cost of a house has gone from 25K to 357K, an increase of 14x. The median cost of an ivy league college has gone from 3K a year to 87K, an increase of 29x. The average cost of healthcare per person has gone from $400 to $15,000, and increase of 37x. Basically, the average person in the US is worse off today than in 1971. So much for "progress"

@BillBrasky11 @hecubian_devil $55/hour 40 years from now is not unreasonable. In Ontario, minimum wage was $4/h in 1984, and $17.20/h now (just over 4x in 40 years). $17x4 = $68. $55/h seems low.

@AlbertaGrl @cwebbonline So the choices are either to buy more expensive American goods or to buy more expensive imported goods? And this is going to bring the cost of living down how? Buying local makes sense, but it doesn't work if people can't afford to do it.

TODAY’S EPISODE OF: WE FU*CKING WARNED YOU This guy’s dazed and confused when he realizes China doesn’t pay the tariffs—he does. It’s like Trump’s tax cut for big corporations. Why would they use that extra money to hire more people when current employees are already doing the work? They just pocket the cash or do stock buy-backs.
