Literally. I gradually “came out” (I do hate the concept of having to) because of this. I grew up in a Black baptist household in Texas, & had nowhere to go if I got kicked out the house. Live your life on your own time. I turned 30 this year and am out & happy now. It will come.

Editors literally would DM me and ask if I wanted to flesh out some thoughts I shared in a tweet for a piece they wanted to commission. I was tapped for the Black Twitter doc on Hulu because of a piece that was commissioned that way. This app used to be very useful.
