What are people mostly worried about in the UK today? You said "VAT rates on Theme Park Admission" "If it's up there you can bum me on camera"

@sturgess_steve Because an increase in overall employment cost deters employers from taking on trainees.

Why is #bbclaurak going on about national insurance payments increasing youth employment? Employers do not pay NI for employees under 21.

@Zero_4 It's not all of a sudden become a concern, plus pension payments are something people pay into, and we all benefit from.

As a percentage of GDP, welfare spending has remained around 10% for the past decade For it to suddenly be the cause of all our ills is deeply insidious The largest driver of increased spending is pensions, which accounts for 55% of total expenditure #bbclaurak

Not sure who's winning the most embarrassing end to a season, current contenders Southampton, Boro, Spurs. Mo Salah, Harry Maguire, or should I delay until our inevitable World Cup defeat in the quarter finals?

A massive 2,200-pound block of nephrite, known as the Green Stone, was discovered within the ruins of the 3,000-year-old Hittite capital of Hattusa. Archaeologists still do not fully understand why the stone was placed there or what purpose it originally served. What makes the Green Stone unusual is that it stands alone with no obvious connection to nearby structures, and it bears no inscriptions or markings to explain its purpose. Its isolated placement has led archaeologists to debate why it was there in the first place. Some believe the stone may have held ritual or symbolic importance, as the Hittites occasionally placed significant stones within temples or sacred areas. Others think it could have once belonged to a larger object, such as an altar base, throne platform, or ceremonial feature that no longer survives. Another possibility is that it was a valuable imported material intended for construction or craftsmanship that was never used. Because much of the surrounding context has been lost over time, no theory can be confirmed with certainty. That uncertainty is what makes the Green Stone one of the most mysterious discoveries from Hattusa.
