@alliseeisgold How about 2 weight in opportunities 1 from 10:30-11:00 pm (night before), one at 10:30-11:00am (day of). Most would be motivated to make the day before weight in. It rewards the early weight in but provides a “last chance” for those missing the day before. +add weight classes.

Proposed Immediate Rule Changes for UWW: 1.) 1kg second Day Weight Allowance. 2.) Weigh-ins pushed from 8:30am to 10:30am. 3.) Forfeit will occur in future finals if opposing finalist misses weight. 4.) After a semifinal victory, both finalists’ medals are secured even if weight is missed on Day 2. Gold can only be won by a wrestler who makes weight on the second day. 5.) Give Vinesh the Silver medal.

@hansonsrun I’ve never heard a current or former athlete say, “I wish I did less”. I suppose if any sport has the potential for that to be said it could be in an endurance sport because over training can lead to injury.

My former HS athletes and my former Pro athletes have one major thing in common. They both wish they had done more to take advantage of their opportunities. Heard this several times over the years but 3 times in the past 2 days.
