Liverpoolโs Hidden Victorian Gem๐๏ธ Did you know this narrow cul-de-sac in Mossley Hill is a Grade II listed piece of living history? This is Gordon Place, built around the 1840s. While most of Liverpoolโs high-density worker housing was lost to the slum clearances of the 20th century, this row survived because it was tucked away in the then rural L18 district. Take a look at the ground, there are no pavements, just the original blue brick pavers and a central drainage channel. It's one of the few places in Liverpool where you can stand in a 19th century street and see the exact floor to ceiling scale that would have been common across the city in 1850.
