Okay, so... Lemme explain this for those who don't understand the exact true context of this story. In Oakland Park, Florida, Father Bob Caudill has been feeding the homeless for over 12 years now at his church, All Saints Catholic Mission. He doesn’t just hand out meals, he also provides them with clothes, showers etc to help restore their dignity, something people in their society often ignores. The problem is that, in 2014, the city rezoned the area, making his soup kitchen technically illegal. The city isn’t saying feeding the hungry is wrong, they’re saying his operations violate zoning laws. Since 2016, the city has been fining him $125 per day, which has now stacked up to over $500,000, with liens even placed on the church and on Father Bob personally. It's crazy how the law can be used this way. Basically, they're doing everything they can to keep people homeless. The enforcement of that law can pressure someone to stop doing the right thing. Instead of the government to work with Father Bob to create a permitted kitchen or a temporary solution, the city instead chose rigid punishment. The law became a weapon against the charity. If churches worldwide actually lived up to their purpose, they’d be doing exactly what Father Bob is doing. A church isn’t just a building, it’s a home, a sanctuary, a place where humanity matters. Feeding the hungry, sheltering the weary, and preserving dignity should be the baseline.
Pubity@pubity

A priest in Florida faces a fine of over $500,000 for feeding the homeless. Rezoning led to Father Bob's soup kitchen being suddenly ruled illegal to run in 2014, but he's kept going for the past 12 years and refuses to stop helping others.

In his eyeglasses with a strap so he doesn't lose them and his cute hedgehog water bottle is a morbid reflection of our depravity and moral cowardice. Every child these pedophile bastards have killed was loved dearly. This nation is a 250-year stain on humanity.

Bombing Iran in the middle of negotiations, while starving Cuba, while genociding Palestinians, while threatening to invade Greenland… the US and Israel are the single greatest threat to humanity and it’s not even close. We are all forced to live in the nightmare they create.

Triple tap" means, by the way: Israel killed the Palestinian people in the hospital, then waited for more Palestinian people to show up to help the victims, then killed THOSE people, then waited again for Palestinian people to help, and killed THOSE people. Three rounds of slaughter, targeted at people devoted to helping each other survive Israel's horrific ongoing genocide. Truly psychopathic. This Israeli "athlete" is a war criminal. He should not be competing. He should be tried at the Hague.

ICE forces women detainees to wear diapers—compare them to "goats locked in a cage." 'I saw people lying in feces, throwing up, and sleeping in urine," said whistleblower. Overcrowded on the floor like "pictures that I saw in school of how they brought slaves over from Africa." "We didn't always have sanitary stuff for them if they were having their cycle. They were given diapers." "And because you can't put the diapers in the toilet, and the rooms didn't have trash cans. So some of us would give them boxes. And they would fill up with these diapers." Days after reporting the conditions to his supervisor—he was fired for not being a "good fit." The abuse occurred at the ICE detention facility in Baltimore, Maryland.

ICYMI — this actually happened: A 22-year-old mother, Kimberlyn Yaritza Menjivar Aguilar, went to a routine fingerprinting appointment for an approved work permit process. ICE handcuffed her. ICE deported her. ICE sent her to Honduras without her 8-month-old baby. Key facts people keep lying about: • She was not a criminal. • She had active deferred action and was in an approved Special Immigrant Juvenile visa process. • The case was not dismissed on the facts. DHS leaned on a missed 2022 court date from when she was a minor. • Agents asked about breastfeeding, then restrained her anyway. • She was tricked into signing a document she was told meant she could take her baby with her. She was deported alone. Her infant stayed in the U.S. She did not. This is not a one-off. It fits a documented 2025 pattern of ICE detaining and separating pregnant and nursing mothers, often in violation of its own policies. Federal judges have already ruled the harm from these separations is “self-evident.” Bottom line: A young mother followed the rules, showed up as instructed, and was punished by being forcibly separated from her child. Anyone calling this “law and order” is lying to you. 🚨BREAKING: ICE/Border Patrol are now pistol-whipping 16-year-olds and smashing their heads into the curb. In the video, an agent illegally tries to detain an unaccompanied minor, in Long Beach, California. The child has his hands in the air. An agent runs up and hits him in the head with a pistol. Then two agents tackle him and force his head down against the curb. After the child is already on the ground, pinned by two armed adults, another agent brings out a K9, for what reason exactly? Then one agent puts his knee on the child’s neck while another handcuffs him, even though he’s not resisting at all. Unaccompanied minors are supposed to be handled through child-welfare procedures, not slammed into concrete by armed agents. Using a gun as a weapon is deadly force. You don’t get to use deadly force on a child who is standing still with his hands up. And putting a knee on someone’s neck while they’re restrained is a textbook violation of use-of-force rules and basic constitutional rights. ICE/Border Patrol agents are brutalizing people for sport, they are executing people because they can, trafficking children, and if they aren’t stopped no one will be safe.

Maher Tarabishi, age 62, was taken by ICE last October when he exited his immigration check-in appointment in Texas. He was the primary caregiver for his 30 year old son Wael, who suffers from a chronic muscular condition called Pompe disease. His father provided 24 hour care for many years. Wael died today, his family told me. Wael’s heath had been declining ever since his father’s detention. He never got to say goodbye to his father. Maher will never see his son again. Maher came to the United States in 1994. He is not a criminal. He paid taxes. He raised a family. He was attending his immigration check ins reliably. Now that family is destroyed. For what? If our government has any compassion, Maher Tarabishi should be released from detention now. He should be allowed to attend his son’s funeral. May Wael rest in peace. Is this what America has become? Is this what we want America to be? Spread the word: #FreeMaherTarabishi

If socialism "siphons value" from capitalism, then explain why capitalism keeps collapsing without socialist intervention. The Great Depression was not solved by markets. It was solved by public works, regulation, and state planning. 2008 was not saved by capitalism. It was saved by massive government bailouts and nationalized risk. COVID did not expose the strength of markets. It exposed that without state intervention millions more would have died and the economy would have imploded. If socialism is a parasite, capitalism seems oddly dependent on its host. Your claim assumes socialism only survives when it extracts from capitalism. So answer this: Why did China lift 800 million people out of poverty faster than any capitalist nation in history? Why does Cuba outperform the U.S. in healthcare despite 65 years of blockade? Why did Vietnam go from bomb craters to one of the fastest-growing economies in the world? These are not parasites. These are systems building value in spite of capitalist sabotage. Meanwhile, what does capitalism "build"? Debt bubbles. Monopolies. Financial crises. Private profit with public cost. A global system where eight men own more than half of humanity. And the richest capitalist countries on earth depend on: Slave-labor supply chains. Colonial-era extraction networks. Resource theft. Military protection of trade routes. Sanctions to prevent competition. A reserve currency backed by force, not merit. If socialism depends on capitalism, why does capitalism need an empire to survive? Why does it need coups, sanctions, invasions, blockades, and privatization regimes to function? Why does every socialist project face external sabotage while every capitalist failure demands socialist rescue? Maybe the truth is simpler. Socialism works where it is allowed to. Capitalism works only when socialism keeps it from collapsing. Your narrative is not economic literacy. It is insecurity dressed as certainty. Because deep down you know: If capitalism ever had to compete on equal terms, it would lose to the very systems it tries to strangle.

@nxt888 Every time socialism "succeeds," it siphons value from a capitalist market which it won't acknowledge so that the economically illiterate can pretend that socialism works
