Yesterday, we wrapped up a Neuroimaging and Wearable Sensors Workshop aimed at strengthening internal research skills among our teams from BMI, Haematology-Oncology, Clinical Research Unit (CRU), and the Radiology and Imaging Department through an intensive learning experience. Participants deepened their understanding of brain structure, learned how to work with data from wearable sensors, and explored how artificial intelligence tools such as large language models can support brain health research. The final hackathon provided an opportunity to apply these new skills to real-world challenges drawn from the Brain Resilience Kenya Project. Big thank you to our expert facilitators, Dr. Karen Blackmon, Dr.Thomas Thesen, Camilo Castelblanco, Dr. Benard Alaka, and Anaum Showkat, and to every participant who made this workshop a success. #BrainHealth #CapacityBuilding #ResearchTraining
