@KatieMiller Double-standards. How is this any better than Russia’s invasion of Ukraine?
You do know USA’s standing in the world is plummeting right now?

@Lloydy_bach @RobDaviesEA Not always harmless as it can smother gravel beds, affecting fish, invertebrates, etc.
English

@RobDaviesEA It's distinctive, but seems harmless? I don't think I've seen upstream of the Ironbridge by-pass, it's really strong just below the bridge by the waterfall.

@Vextoity If you want to use less disposable plastic, try NoWa’s toothpaste tablets. They are excellent.

@JonathanTod_TFP Public opinion is on Suella’s side.

Suella Braverman has seriously crossed the line. She is the Home f….ing Secretary. This office demands decency, truth, good judgment and competence. Her article today stating clearly that the police are “playing favourites” and left leaning events are policed softly is a disgrace. She knows this is a lie.
She goes on to allege that football hooligans are policed very differently. She is inciting violence against her own police force. In repeating that the pro-Palestinian marches are “hate marches”, she is inciting racial violence. This is not only untrue, she knows it’s untrue. What they want is ceasefire, peace, and the ability to live with human rights and freedoms; crucial rights which we often take for granted.
This is the language and behaviour of Donald Trump, inciting riot as he did on the Capitol. If people are hurt this weekend, the blood is on her hands. I hope and pray there won’t be.
She is dangerous, racist, fascist, and inhumane, with low cunning and unfettered ambition. She should be sacked for this and kicked out of the Conservative Party. This is far worse than anything Enoch Powell said in the 70’s.
Rwanda might offer her accommodation? They have had £120million of our money from her, for nothing except advancing her political career.
Stop the rot. We deserve better.

Labour now accepts First Past the Post is broken. Will they put the country first and do something about it? I've joined @MakeVotesMatter to help make it happen!
It's time for politicians to listen to voters. It's time for equal votes.

@RiversandPeople @AliDriverUK I agree, those involved wil want to do as you say but who will pay for the work needed for HRA/AAs if they are no longer legally needed Tim?
I’ve not read amendments fully - does this relate to LPAs only and let other bodies determine if AA, etc needed?

@SesShorty67 @GMB How about we start building better houses too? Like the Zero Carbon Homes Gordon Brown proposed when chancellor and scrapped when Cameron came into power. 😖

@Drtimesup1 @GMB No - those rules were transposed into UK law as Water Environment Regulations 2017.

Eton.
Rishi Sunak as Chancellor refused to give £15bn to make up for the catastrophic inequality between state and private schools enhanced by the pandemic.
He gave just £1.8bn instead.
Sir Kevan Collins (charged with the task) then resigned.
Last week the gap in A level results proved the money had been and still is needed.
The announcement today about Eton (not paying most tax due to charitable status) is another Tory kick in the teeth to state schools.
They'll take YOUR taxes...highest tax regime for 70 years....not if you're a hedge fund (no tax paid in UK) or private equity or offshore trust fund beneficiary tho....and give to the already rich...always and for eternity unless you vote to stop it

English
@paulinehinsley1 @carolvorders The English people totally underestimate themselves.
Take to the streets and start a democracy.
The UK is a pseudo-democracy where a minority of 14m can create a 5 year full Tory dictatorship with a lame opposition, complicit because giving people false hope.
English

@paulinehinsley1 @carolvorders Ditch the unfair ‘first past the post’ voting system. Replace with a decent form of proportional representation so that more people stand a chance of making their vote heard. electoral-reform.org.uk for more info…

@QuantrillTim @powell_peter There is money to incentivise buffers and other beneficial practices- farm advisors will know the intricacies of various payment schemes and applicable options.
Stanford in the Vale, England 🇬🇧 English
@powell_peter The least farmers can do then is grow a buffer strip to intercept runoff. Is there money to help them do that? A better solution would be not to have bare earth during wet spells like autumn and winter but that would take a revolution in current practice away from autumn sowing?
