Two bright Class XI students of Government Higher Secondary School, Hawai – Shri Jiwaiso Bellai and Shri Vivek Chowpranglum Khamblai – have brought laurels to our state by securing 1st Prize at the prestigious GYS Avishkar Award 2025, a national-level online competition on the theme “Low Cost Grassroots Innovation”. Guided by their teacher Smt. Mebian Gam, the duo presented their project “To Prevent Road Accidents in Sharp Turns”, a practical innovation aimed at enhancing road safety in hilly terrains. Their achievement, competing against participants from 25 states, reflects their scientific acumen and deep sense of community welfare. Congratulations to the young innovators, their mentor, and the entire Anjaw district for this proud achievement. You are an inspiration to the youth of our state.

Honoured to inaugurate “Pratikshaya” – Birth Waiting Home for Pregnant Women at Namsai today, funded by NITI Aayog under the Aspirational District Programme. This facility will provide expectant mothers with: ✅ Free and safe lodging ✅ Nutritious meals for mothers and dependents ✅ Regular health check-ups and counselling ✅ Emergency transportation to hospitals during labour ✅ Recreational & health education activities The home, equipped with reception, ANC doctor’s chamber and six twin-bedded rooms with attached toilets, will be managed by Shubha Kriya Welfare Society, Namsai. This initiative is a step towards ensuring safe motherhood, accessible healthcare, and dignity for every expecting mother in the district. Together, let us continue building a healthier and safer Arunachal Pradesh.

On the same occasion, I was also pleased to attend the foundation laying of Hapoli’s Wholesale & Retail Fish Market. This upcoming modern and sustainable facility will not only promote better market linkages for our fisherfolk but also create fresh livelihood opportunities, strengthen local entrepreneurship, and contribute to the district’s economic growth.
