As much as I want to say it was our fault for placing badly because of offspawn issues on Day 1, this grands was actually disgusting. Boxcars pulled almost every zone both days — and in scrims with all grands teams and similar zone pulls we were consistently pumping out top 10s while being 1500+ above surge every game.
This grands felt absolutely unplayable. Teams were landing on our mountain, taking half our loot and surge spots, third partying our offspawn, lurking into our POI, and holding us inside the poi with no loot. So much random shit happened that made it nearly impossible to perform.
Even with all that, we still played good asf for how much we were getting griefed. We basically 6-0’d the team contesting us. On Day 1 the only game we made it to endgame we still got 11th while playing with literally half our loot. We just kept getting cleaned up.
This might sound cocky or delusional, but I genuinely believe we would’ve gotten top 15, maybe even top 10, if we were conned by Zanda or uncontested — or if our loot wasn’t getting stolen by kids who knew they weren’t going to do well anyway.
It’s really unfortunate that teams who honestly don’t deserve to be in grands can just win a game in Last Chance and come into grands just to grief other teams because they know they have no shot themselves. Absolutely sad.
All good though — just needed to rant a bit lmao. This was my first grands, and I hope people realize now I’m not leaving my spot, no matter what happens. And I swear, I’ll never lose that bad offspawn in a grands ever again. OML.
